James Studd is a philosophy postdoc employed by the University of Oxford as part of the AHRC project Inexpressibility and Reflection.

His present research focuses on issues surrounding our attempts to engage in absolutely general enquiry. Amongst other things, his work draws on tools from philosophical logic to shed light on foundational issues in set theory, and ideas from metasemantics to investigate abstract knowledge and reference.
